PROFILE
Shaynna Blaze-Vaughan is the creative force behind blankcanvas INTERIORS.
An interior designer, artist, jazz singer, wife and mother, she has lived her overlapping passions of creativity since she was a child. Shaynna graduated in Interior Design, and took on the immediate challenge of retail and commercial design. A welcome release from corporate-world stresses came in the expressive form of performing jazz and swing.
While successfully running her own design business and singing part time, Shaynna welcomed the magical challenge of being a mother, letting this path come to the fore as she remained connected to the art and design world.
Shaynna’s passions of art, music and design have been shaped by her constant drive to experience the world Shaynna’s vast and varied career in commercial and residential design, along with her natural skills in relating to people, enable her to gain an invaluable insight to the individual or company she is working with.
Adding to the fabric of her skills, Shaynna has lectured in interior design at Holmesglen TAFE; run information workshops to the public and private companies and as a guest speaker at events. To stay in touch with the latest trends and techniques through active membership of Colourways (colour forecasting), and the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) — the peak professional body for interior designers. Creative expression is Shaynna’s life.
